I was put on notice that the name of Trump was repelling new readers. I found that the articles I was writing were more and more ironic in reference to the idea that Donald Trump was the reason people were not reading the blog. The blog was and is about the overcoming of the ego in order to use the law of attraction to obtain the goals and dreams you have identified.

I believe we can agree that Donald Trump has an invigorating, if not overblown, ego. It appears you either hate him or love him. When you consider the popularity of his TV show, “The Apprentice”, you have to ask the obvious question. Why ?

Does this mimic the polarization we see in the political arena? I wonder what those who like Trump perceive that tips the scale in his favor. Similarly, I wonder about those who dislike him. There is a certain amount of human nature, which is undefinable, that affects the perceptions. Is it because we see aspects in Tump that we would like to have? Is it because we do not have these traits and we are repelled? Whatever the reason, it is a fundamental part of us that determines how we feel about others. Daniel Goldman has determined we are “hardwired” to like or dislike others. We have “gut” feelings. Mr. Goldman has written an entire book substantiating his premise based on current neuroscience discoveries. I can not argue the physiological aspect, but I must question how the wiring was incorporated into the working of the brain.

It has been discovered that as we learn new things the brain adds synapes and other connections. The wiring is taking place all the time. Some circuits are eliminated, some are added. So, during our most formative years we have a high degree of activity with the “wiring”. It would seem to me that some of the “gut” feelings about our likes and dislikes were wired in due to encounters of joy and pleasure during our past experiences. This tells me we are predisposed to judgemental acts from past acts. Although the past is gone, a certain aspect of the brain wires itself to guard against repetition of past mistakes or injury. I suspect this is an aspect of survival. This aspect has allowed us to continue and thrive as a species. Touching a hot stove or wandering outside the cave with predators lurking outside, wire the brain with circuits which will always be there as warning to prevent us from harm.

Is this past wiring, from our childhood experiences, which are motivating us to like or dislike? Does the like or dislike come from our self-centered concerns? The fact that one likes or dislikes is so individual that an answer that fits “all” is suspect and opinionated. Each individual’s choice would have to be de-constructed to find the root reason.

The fact that some like and some don’t is the way it is. Removing Trump’s name should satify both camps. It is meant as a neutral compromise. I hope the content is what makes the difference and not the Name.

www.blogsurfer.us seems to have no such compromise. You either sign-up or loose readers. So, I will not compromise in this regard. www.justliketrump.biz is electronically established and so, there can be no compromise here. I either change the name (webpage) or carry on with hopes others will understand. (good luck with that, I am told)
